Syria’s fratricidal war and the consequent humanitarian catastrophe was at the centre of the Pope’s first day in the Holy Land. On Friday 30 May, a summit promoted by Cor Unum will be held in the Vatican to coordinate the work of agencies that offer humanitarian aid in a country that has been torn apart by a three year conflict.
