There is a position available at Sysco Connecticut, LLC for a Delivery Driver. The basic function of this position is to deliver orders to our customers on time, in good condition and in a professional manner. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: • Ability to safely operate straight truck, tractor trailer size 18’-53’ tractor/trailer. • Deliver food and related items to customers. • Collect and count C.O.D. orders. • Maintain DOT required logs, physicals, CDL, and hours of service. • Unload and verify all returns; pickups have been returned. • Organize invoices, cash and checks for check-in procedure. • Accurately count and load back-haul products. • Familiar with DOT regulations. • Overnight runs may be required. Qualifications for this position are: • High School Education or equivalent. • Ability work 14 hours. • Ability to read, write English and basic math. • Ability to communicate well. • Must maintain class “A” CDL with no DUI/DWI within the last 3 years, no multiple DUI/DWI and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and/or one DOT recordable. • Must have 1 year class “A” CDL minimum driving tractor trailer road experience. • Ability use a hand truck up and down ramps, stairs etc. • In and out of truck, cab, side trailer, and rear trailer average of 120 times daily. • Repetitive lifting up to 100lbs. cases If you are interested in this position, please email Rashima Manson at [email protected] with your resume.
