Syverson is calling for the temporary income tax passed two years ago to be extended or made permanent. Currently It sunsets without any legislative action. That means it resorts back to what it was. That also means it is an increase once again, when many of us believed it would be sunset as promised. Yes default is the option. In some other threads on other pages so called conservatives are defending syverson. No wonder our state is lost burnt toast. The question is why is Syverson championing this? The Dems have super majorities in both houses. They dont need him. Theyll override a Rauner veto if it gets to the new legislative session. Whats Syversons angle? I think hes leading like a good little progressive.
