T-Birds game goes down to the wire Dubbo Basketball has been heating up, with plenty of action on the courts at Sportworld. The game between T-Birds Pink and TFC came down to the wire, with the T-Birds winning by a single goal in the 55-54 result. The game proved to be an entertaining showcase in which T-Birds just managed to stay ahead at the final whistle. Everyone played well and the game flowed from end to end, with all players contributing to what was an incredibly close finish. In another nailbiter, the young Western Star side led by Dan Medway enthusiastically edged out Danny Reads Tropics in a narrow two-point 45-43 win where the ball bounced their way. The team captains performed well, with Medway solid for Western Star and Read one of the Tropics best. In the game between the T-Birds Red and Flashes, the teams were evenly matched and showed a lot of flair. However, experience reigned in the end and the T-BIrds pushed out their opponents with a 50-44 victory. For the Flashes, Adam Wheeler had a strong game with the basket while Butch Ryan showed a lot of ball skills, directing play well. Bart Sykes was solid at both ends of the court for T-Birds. RSL Hoops showed why they were the number one team in the rounds and their passing game proved to be too good for Subway. They also reached half a century, recording a 50-24 win. Melita Hampton played well for Hoops, scoring well during the game. Subway never gave up and Zoe Warwick was heavily involved in contributing to the scoresheet. In the match-up between Ying Yang and Allsorts, the former showed a formidable presence on the court with a crushing 78-36 defeat. With their five-point start, Ying Yang proved to be too strong and the Taylor girls, Brodie and Ashleigh shot well for the side. The Allsorts did not give up and put in a good performance.
