T-Shirt Tuesday. Here is a shirt I earned as part of a really cool event that i was selected for in NYC as part of the 501st. In the Fall of 2005, Lucas Arts was going to do a release of Star Wars Battle Front II at the same time as the DVD release of Revenge of The Sith. To honor this event, They select 501st troopers from around the country and flew them to NYC to take part in the media events surrounding the release that also coincided with a huge video game and electronics show at the Javis Convention Center. Well, it was all fine and dandy until the weather decided not to cooperate at all and every part of our outdoor exposure was done in the rain and cold. This gave us the nick name of the Raintroopers as we had to stand at attention for hours in the pouring rain while the photographers and news crews got all of their needs from us. On the Up Side, I was featured in the center image in the New York Times because I had a Large Rifle so I was put next to Darth Vader. That day was also made Officially Star Wars Day in NYC from Proclamation of the Mayor who was on hand to make the presentation to Lucas Arts and The 501st in the Center of Times Square.
