T20 Wrap Up: Round 3 of the North Region Bash saw us take on North Eltham Wanderers away at Eltham North Reserve. Batting first we unfortunately lost Lukee in the second over LBW before a solid partnership of 37 between Alex and Jordie took the score to 44 before we lost both of them. A partnership of 30 between Kempy and Mossy took the score to 74 before we lost Mossy and then Kempy not long after. Regular wickets continued to fall to see us eventually finish at 9/142 off our 20 overs. Best of the batsman was Toppi 30 from 32 balls and Alex 25 off 19. Going out to bowl North Eltham got off to a solid start before losing their first at 31 off the bowling of Paul Higgins. They then had two strong partnerships which took the score to 98 but from there we were able to bowl very tight through some good overs from Scotty, Mossy and Kempy. We ended up taking 7/30 to restrict North Eltham to 9/131 from their 20 overs. Best of the bowlers was Scotty with 2/17, Sheepy with 2/26 and Kempy with 1/12 from 4 overs. Unfortunately this wasnt enough to get us through to the knockout stages (even though a miscalculation from a certain secretary may have had people thinking otherwise). Unfortunately our percentage wasnt good enough to overtake Lalor in our group. However it was a great fightback from the boys to win this game when it looked unlikely at 2/98.
