TACTICAL CASUALTY CARE Did you know that Cadets are offered the option of participating in special assignments outside of their regular work assignments? One such special assignment offered to Cadets are the Tactical Casualty Care courses taught by the Denver Health Paramedic Division to first responders. In these courses, first responders will become familiarized with certain life-saving interventions that may be utilized on duty such as the application of a tourniquet. Aside from having the opportunity to sit through the course itself, Cadets also assist the instructors by acting as victims while emergency personell run through different scenarios that allow them to practice the skills that they were taught during the classroom portion of the course.
