TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a Technical Writer/Editor for one of our clients in Atlanta, GA. ** Must be a U.S. citizen and/or authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Must be able to get cleared with Public Trust US government clearance** Project Description: Provide instructional design services to CDC’s Non-communicable Disease Project. Technical: Professional services: instructional design No technical environment. Position-specific Required Skills: *Must have 5 years of technical writing and editing experience. *Must have experience in formatting documents to be compliant with Section 508 Amendment to the Rehabilitation Act (this is a non-negotiable skill requirement). *Must be self-managed and a problem solver. *Must have excellent communication skills to create, update, and do QA on document based deliverables. *Must have 5 years of professional experience performing technical, functional, and user document updates and helping with technical writing activities. *Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in English or Communications or related fields. *Must have understanding of technical documentation and how the technical documentation is to be laid out. *Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. *The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Position-specific Desired Skills: *Experience in developing or editing training materials. *Experience in public health or healthcare. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: *Works under the guidance of PM, may be self-managed. *Organizes material and completes assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. *Maintains records and files of work and revisions. *Edits, standardizes, or makes changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel or team members. Expected Deliverables: *Training documents that meet client style requirements and that are Section 508 compliant.
