TAKE A MINUTE TO PROTECT OUR ENDANGERED SPECIES For years, Rep. Doc Hastings has attacked the Endangered Species Act (ESA) in an attempt to weaken it at the expense of the hundreds of animals who rely on it for protection. These bills, among other things, would allow politicians to determine what is the best available science on important issues – not scientists themselves. The bills would also force wildlife agencies to publicize the denning sites of imperiled species online – which could do far more harm than good, and easily facilitate poaching.
