TAKE THE HIGH ROAD We often fail to realize that when someone hurts us the initial upset is nothing in comparison to the suffering we create for ourselves by holding on to it. Buddha said (Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone...u are the one who gets burned) Replaying events (is VERY unhealthy) in your our mind over & over again U build up your case. THIS can get to be quite exhausting (u would think) & all it does is prolong the suffering & poison ones own mind. When u have an opportunity to engage in a battle of right & wrong....THINK!!!!!...ok so someone cuts you off on the road… instead of honking the horn or flipping them the bird...take a DEEP breath & feel how much strength it takes to remain calm. That’s growth!!! OR If someone says something offensive or takes a CHEAP SHOT at you or a LOVED one…instead of hitting them with a comeback or swift karate chop, stay silent & turn the other cheek. Breathe feel the anger rising up inside of u & see if you can create space for it rather than fueling the fire. What I’m saying is that U have a choice shake it off or take it on. When U take it on, U waste your energy & U give your power away. TRUE POWER/strength lies in moving on/through the challenges & the conflicts. It means recognizing another person’s weakness & not holding it against them. It means expanding in (LOVE) What (I) do know is that being right is a lost cause. Instead invest your energy in worthy causes. U & (ONLY U) create with our emotions, U can learn from your experiences & U can be stronger. TRY love even after you been hurt a thousand times. Keep giving, keep loving, keep living. Keep growing, keep learning, keep expanding. TAKE THE HIGH ROAD. Who’s in??????????
