TAKING TINY STEPS OF FAITH Mountain climbing is a picture of the life of faith for faith grows stronger as we climb higher. God’s Word is Spirit and life and it has the ability to produce a spiritual force which grows and develops within our heart, called faith. Faith comes when the Word of God prevails over the thinking processes. Therefore, if you must have faith, you must learn to hear God’s Word. It is necessary to hear not only with your ears but also with your heart. It is not only important to commit the Word to memory but also allow the Word to become an integral part of your being. Through hearing, belief comes. Through believing, trust comes. Through trusting, confidence is established. However, this process is not automatic but gradual. Without these tiny steps, one cannot trust God and understand the basic truth about faith.
