TALES FROM THE ROAD - Day 6. SALINAS. Having found no Tour Angels in Salinas and RV parks being full, I had to figure out what to do. Being on the road is full of challenges, you have to be very resourceful, and prepared to face anything that comes your way. Where was I going to sleep tonight? I decided to try the Elk Lodge, but was told they only allow Elks to camp there. After talking a bit with the nice lady, she decided to bend the rules some and to allow me to stay with them for the next two days / nights. I was very relieved. Campground was basic but peaceful and I felt safe there. Later that day, I decided to explore the city. The Deuce and I drove through countless streets but there was really nothing to see. Just when I was giving in to disappointment and about to give up, I stumbled upon a gem: MAIN STREET SALINAS. I am excited to share some pics with you now.
