TATEYAMA this weekend: Remember to switch your snowbrain back on, and start out cautiously. I slid my car off the road last week on a frosty bridge and broke a headlight because my winter brain was not awake, but my winter excitement was. Tatetama is looking primed for the weekend - Im going. Five days of new snow, then clear weather with light winds and warming weather for Saturday. That new snow is sitting on potential weak layers observed last weekend. Bad weather is coming on Monday, then Tateyama shuts for winter. So Human Emotion takes over: powder fever. Now or never. Beat the weekend crowds. Take a breath, relax, no one cares if you do or do not ski the biggest line in the range this weekend. Just enjoy skiing and look forward to the long season ahead.
