TA’AWUN CALLS ON MUSLIMS TO RALLY AROUND AREGBESOLA A day summit organized by Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen to celebrate and discuss task ahead of Muslims of the south West yesterday is well attended by important dignitaries in Islam. The summit which its theme goes thus, “Aftermath of Aregbesolas Victory: Task Ahead for Muslim Ummah in South West” took place at the National secretariat of Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen Ori-eru Iwo. In his welcoming speech, the national President of Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan called on Muslims to be of help to the governor and see their assistance as a must doing. “Though we have won but that is not the end. His success is what matter most and those that will work with him must also be of good ambassador. The era of minority taking the benefits of majority or depriving majority their right will not be tolerated again. Everything must be based on justice and equity” he said. Professor O.O Ladipo encouraged Muslims to seek for more knowledge. He told them that education is the only legacy one can give to his children. In his statement, Professor A. Rasak Aderemi Abubakri called on the governor to always listen to his people not his party. He said whenever a candidate is rejected due to his poor performance he should let it be. Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), ably represented by the Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola advised Muslims to go into politics to fight for their right. He also encouraged them to always be upright. Dr Daood Amoo alaga, Dr. A. Fatai Thani, Dr.Hassan Mahroof, Dr. Abdul Rasheed Buwaeb, Alhaji Kunle Thanni and Comrade Mahrof Saka and were among the important dignitaries who made their own contribution after which a communiqué to be submitted to the governor was drafted.
