If the answer is, “Yes”, then ask yourself, “How well do I really know Him?” Knowing facts about Jesus does not change our relationship with Him. It’s not enough to study the Bible or go to theology school; you have to build the relationship. The main thing about Christianity is not the work we do but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. A man can be a Christian in profession and not such in heart. What we do for God is only a reflection of the relationship we have with God. If you want to be able to do great things, you need to have a great relationship. Christianity is a relationship. It’s not a religion. Relationship exists where there is love. When you have a sincere love for Christ, you will see beyond your trouble. It is only your love for the Lord that can keep you going when there is no money in the pocket. It is only your love for the Lord that can keep you going when there is no food on the table. It is only your love for the Lord that can keep you going when there is sickness in your body. Nothing will carry us through hardship like a sincere devotion to Christ. Nothing will keep you on course like a deep love for the Lord.
