TBI survivor with questions for the group: I am 28 years post - TopicsExpress

TBI survivor with questions for the group: I am 28 years post my first TBI from a sever auto accident. I have had repeat concussions, and another TBI since then the last one was in 03. I also have PTSD & ADHD, and have had TIA stokes over the years. I have had scans of my brain many times over these years, and each time something was found they said it was nothing. Now I have either scar tissues, or lesions I cant seem to get a straight answer, and I have been refereed to a neurologist for neuro deteriorating symptoms. I have managed to push my self over the years not really understanding what was going on with me. My question is has anyone that is post TBI for more than 10 to 30 years experience new symptoms and feel like they are getting worse? My second question is has anyone started to lose their vision and it gets worse by the week? My vision has been declining over the last few months and even more over the last 8 weeks. I am frustrated I have improved my verbal, memory, and other skills over the years, even more so when I went back to school a few years ago. Now I have all I can do to finish an assignment, just going to the store, or preforming any physical activity sucks the life out of me. I have been reading everyones posts for a few weeks but not really interacting, I want to say thank you to all of you. Your posts have helped me a lot and to finally get the courage to post and ask a few questions. ~Dawn Marie Lennon
