TBM TRUMPET CALL 2015-01-21 “And Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” – ISAIAH 60:3 YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD A truly godly message of hope will present itself the way God gives hope in His word. God will always say, “If you do this or if you will obey Me, then such and such will happen to you” {Please see Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Joshua 1:8, John 14:23}. God has never promised what He would not fulfil. What we should always do is to examine our roles and then appropriate the promises in the light of the New Covenant. Our relationship with God is a covenant relationship. In a marriage, there are two parties; each with their own part to play. This is how it is in the kingdom of God. Every commandment of God is good. Without them, we have nothing. It is for our benefit and also of God that He commanded us to love one another and to be united, and it is through His word that we know God’s mind and ways. Whenever any of these commandments are contravened without repentance, regardless of the reasons, there are always consequences. There was no time that it was recorded that Israel went into captivity that it was not because of transgression. There was no time that Israel prospered that it was not because their covenant with God was empowered by their obedience. Obedience to God’s instructions is for our benefit. Very few ever truly acknowledge the nature of God that will never do injustice. God has never at any time in biblical history unjustly supported Israel against anyone and any nation. The case of the Gibeonites and King Saul is an example. This is the truth everyone who truly loves God and Israel must search out. When Jesus again warned His people that what will befall them for rejecting Him was severe, they jeered at Him. Emperor Flavius Vespasian fulfilled this in 70 AD, destroying almost anything visible together with the temple. Many lives were lost. Crucial to the issue was the rejection of Jesus Christ, their salvation. Note: we are pointing this out to refresh our memories, lest anyone perceives God for whom He is not. He is incapable of injustice and does not reward deliberate disobedience. When we all have the mind of God, concerning Israel, every prayer we pray for their salvation will be heard by God, in Jesus’ name. Ignorance on any matter can delay prayers from being heard by God. If Israel and the body of Christ had fulfilled their calling, every Islamic nation in the Middle East would have become Christian, Holy Ghost speaking nation. This is what we should all humbly agree to believe. Now, this is the picture disobedience presents and the state of the matter: It is like a front-wheel drive car designed to run on four wheels trying to move with its two front wheels removed, and wondering why the car is not performing; or an airplane with a wing off, on the runway trying to take off. Christianity and Christians in general, will fulfil their call when we are functioning in the exact way God designed us to function. It would have been the solution and from this position of power that Christians functioned throughout the ages. Kings trembled at the mention of King David; King Solomon did not ask for anything from the kings who brought their gold and treasure, seeking his audience just to listen to him for few minutes. These kings fulfilled that promise that people will come to their light, nations will join themselves unto them {Zechariah 8:20-23}. Everyone will desire to hear a true Christian believer firing on all cylinders. This is what we all need to wake up and believe; when the body is one. The thought of legislating strange laws will fill politicians with so much fear and terror, that they will believe that thunder may strike because of the true God of Israel and of Christians. This is if we are functioning the way we are supposed to function. No nation will use their tongue against Israel if they are fulfilling the purpose for which God called them. If we do not understand and believe this by now, it will mean that we may be as deceived as many concerning the true state of the matter. We are not victims; we are victors because of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who conquered. What did Jesus say? “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent Me.” {John 17:21} Any believer should know that the opposite of this condition will produce the exact opposite fruit. When we fail to believe or run with God, we will end up complaining about politicians, about the economy, about judges and policemen etc. We will look for socio-political and economic solutions for deeper spiritual problems. We will depend on civil rights movements to get injustices addressed. We will look for lobbyists and for some sort of connections to the so-called power brokers. We will turn to Socrates, Plato and Seneca for more inspiration. We will look for ideas from Weber, Parreto and Freud to repackage ourselves. This is what disobedience or disregard for God will produce. On the other hand, returning to God will mean, no more one-man shows. Every diverse part of the body is functioning exactly the way God designed them. The complimentary, symbiotic nature of the body will be functioning, fulfilling its design. We will be in the Spirit, firing on all cylinders. This is fully in our grasp, if we put aside unprofitable enterprises and follow what God said in His word. We should be the generation who got a full grasp of this and fulfilled the supreme mandate of God. You see, one of the most powerful error in our belief system has been to think being nice, compassionate, giving to the poor, dressing up with very long skirts and getting rid of our moustache and looking holy is Christianity; yes it is the fruit. But we got it all upside down. It is Christ in us that would produce the outward demonstration of piety. Our obedience to what God said is what provides the ignition and the explosive results that Christianity is supposed to produce. God desires us to be moderate in our outward presentation and to look Christlike {Philippians 4:5}, but get the first part right, and the rest will be the fruit that will need no more hype. We won’t force love or any such thing. Just like a canary, it must sing. But what are our concerns? Are God’s solutions too simple? What exactly is presenting itself as an obstacle to true unity and the promised accompanying power? Are some people still considering the prospects of becoming celebrities in this present time in Christ’s body? He has prepared a table for us all and there is more than enough for all {Psalm 23:5}. What to do and what we need are all available. The results will speak for themselves. What we believe God will have everyone understand is this; a Lion cannot produce a leopard, an eagle cannot lay eggs that will bring forth chickens: our deliberate conscientious pursuit of God’s prescribed commandments and solutions will result in the fulfilment of His promises. Things don’t just happen. This should be our quest as Christ’s body; this is this call. We should all be aware when our obedience is complete; we will know it and so will the world. Our light will be seen. Promises will manifest by the self-fulfilling power of God’s word. Amen. God bless and have a good day.
