TBT - When I was just ten years old, stationed out of North Springs Apartments, on a Friday night in the early fall, the voice of Mr. Travis would broadcast from high atop Thermopylae, and call the kids from near and far. For us kids - it was a call to go grab a mixed slurpee at Tenneco, and come play football in the baseball outfield (sorry Coach Prindle) during the big North Springs Spartans football game. And right before the half wed go around the concrete bank of bleachers and watch the team head to the field house for half time. They had a good team - And the quarterback was huge - bigger than life Skip Ramsey, and we all tried to steal his P.E. shirt or chin strap or somethin. Through lifes strange twists and turns, I never would have guessed I would be singing and playing guitar with a guy I watched play football, and looked up to, 40 years ago..... Thank you for that brother Skip Ramsey......
