#TBT Being on the cutting edge of all social issues, the Great State was forced by the courts to integrate her schools in 1971. That year was, for all practical purposes, my introduction to Black People. It was fairly uneventful (because: people) except for the fact that it was also (not coincidentally) my introduction to Soul Music. Something I never wanted to or did get over.
