TBT … Did you Know? Flying Leap Vineyards & Distillery was founded by three former military pilots with a goal of developing a new brand based on local, self‐sourced viticulture and high quality, small‐batch winemaking. Here are some images from our former lives for Throwback Thursday. Time is not the only thing that flies. Marc, Tom and I all met while freshmen at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Co in 1987. Its truly amazing the diverse paths we took over the last several decades, yet here we are together in the wine business in Arizona. I grew up in Walla Walla, Washington. Marc was born & raised in San Diego, California, and Kitch was raised in Newport Beach, CA. Flying Leap Vineyards is a committed team of Arizona family farmers, talented & spirited winemakers, and passionate merchants of the Arizona Wine Country experience. We grow a vast portfolio of wine grapes on our ranches in southern and southeastern Arizona, and we produce a delicious array of finely-crafted, ultrapremium wines from our harvests.
