TBT It was 30 years ago today Johnston Brothers went to Nashville to play We were champs at The Delaware State Fair won hotel and plane tickets there Wore our satin coats embroidered with our name but when we got off the plane we thought it time to change our song fifty bands had the same jackets on We beat every group but one but it didnt take away from our fun the only thing that slightly vexed us was The Debonaire Band from Texas Though the finals was a real dangler we got a pile of cash from Wrangler by the time we got back to the lodge we had won a shiny new Dodge We went on and followed our hearts landed 4 songs on the charts It went on till 88 then we said “hey Bros, its been great” Now we all have families grown kids and memories but I tell you this, my friend, In a heartbeat....Id do it all again!
