TBT January 1974 17 years old playing my 1973 12 string Epiphone guitar that I bought new with the money I made working at a cotton gin. July 8th 1977 while living in Frankfurt Germany I had the privilege of lending my guitar to Harry Chapin for a show. Harry was a folk-rock legend of the 70s best known for his number 1 hit Cats in the Cradle. Back then I hoped his talent on my guitar would rub off on me, didnt work darn it. On July 16, 1981 Harry was killed in a single car accident at the age of 38. On that day I put my guitar back into its case where it has remained for the past 33 years. Since July of 1977 he and I are the only two people who have ever played that guitar.
