TBT: The Taste ft Yaw. Album: The Taste (2006). I tried a different approach as far as writing this song. Notice: I put the Bridge first, then the Chorus/Hook followed by 2 verses!!! Usually the bridge comes after the first or second chorus of a song or the typical Verse-Hook-Verse-Hook-Bridge-Verse-End. I wrote a John Legend-style chorus for Yaw to sing --instead of me rapping the chorus. The chorus is extended longer than a typical chorus to make it clear that this song is on an ALBUM; not a mixtape. Yaws delivery gradually gets more dramatic each time he sings the hook! The beat starts and ends in dramatic fashion. The tempo is upbeat with a House (soul clap) vibe, but you can still completely Rock out to it! The sound is very lush/soulful. This was far from a typical battle track that people expect from a Freestyle Mc. This song is definitely amongst my favorite tracks I have ever penned and recorded. D2daE (my producer) and I were set on creating an album to give everyone The Taste of the many wonderful musical varieties and styles/flows Chicago HipHop has to offer. #RockOn #SoulClap #Music https://youtube/watch?v=NvJFz9xP510
