TCS bags multimillion, multiyear deal from Macau:- India’s IT major Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS) has announced that it has won a large deal from Macau based full telecom services provider CTM (existing client). As a part of project, TCS will deploy a new rating and billing system for CTM. The financial details have not been disclosed for the deal. However, the management in its quarterly commentary has indicated that although there are still very little signs of recovery in telecom space, it had won some large deals which are in the pipeline. In fact, for June 2013 quarter, TCS has reported 7.5% qoq growth in Telecom vertical, which is relatively better performance than its peers like Infosys (-6.1%), Wipro (-1.3%), HCL Technologies (6%) in June 2013. Sharekhan views the development as a positive for the company.
