TDDAA PREXY Torh Gbayor CONSOLES GEN JARLEE FAMILY July 12, 2014 The Tchien District Development Association National President Hon Torh S Gbayor has comforted and consoled the bereaved family of the Late General Joseph Jarlee. President Gbayor expressed sympathies and words of comfort on behalf of the TDDAA Inc at a well attended Memorial Service held in General Jarlee’s honor in Philadelphia on Friday, July 11, 2014. President Gbayor paid special tribute to the fallen General Jarlee whom he described as one of Liberia’s finest Generals and Grand Gedeh’s pillar of strength. He told the bereaved family that their father, son, Uncle, Grand Father and brother will forever be remembered for his greatness and patriotism. Moreover, President Gbayor told the bereaved family and Grand Gedeans attending the memorial that the TDDAA Inc is a partner in progress and is very conscionable of her surroundings and events within our community. Adding, General Jarlee Niece, Madam Doris Jarlee is our National Treasurer in the TDDAA and her problem is our problem that deserves our attention. That goes to every Grand Gedean or Liberian within our community; we have to learn to be our brothers and sisters keepers and learn to co-exist as a people with commonality of purpose. Meanwhile, President Gbayor donated a purse of $100.00 (one hundred dollars) on behalf of the TDDAA as a token of the organization’s love and concern for the bereaved family. He further informed the family that the passing of General Jarlee was acknowledged and well documented in the Resolution of the TDDAA just ended convention of July 4-6, 2014. Observers and Grand Gedeans who attended the memorial praised President Gbayor and the TDDAA for the clarification and called it very timely and at the right occasion. It can be recalled that the GGAA through the National Secretary General condemned the TDDAA for going ahead with her ball due to the death of General Jarlee the same day the convention and ball was scheduled and planned for several months ago. In facts, Madam Doris Jarlee had traveled to Philadelphia for the convention when she was told about the death of her Uncle, General Joseph Jarlee the same day of the convention. Amidst the clarification, Grand Gedeans were stunned on the conspicuous absence and No representation of the GGAA Inc at the memorial. Some argue, how could the GGAA be absent from this memorial that the leadership try to fault the TDDAA about. They told us they could not attend the TDDAA programs despite the National President was in Philadelphia because of this death and they are not here? Some questioned. Meanwhile, the TDDAA holds a national general membership teleconference on Monday, July 14, 2014 At 9:00 P.M Eastern Time or 8:00 P.M Central. The Numbers to call are: 213-289-9000 ACCESS: 231231#.
