TEACH ME TUESDAY Todays topic: Stat Boosts and Drops While the overall idea is self-explanatory, I think we need to dig deeper into how stat boosts and drops work and make it less of a concept and more of a tangible element in battles. When you start a battle, your Pokemons stats are exactly what their summary screen shows. Using a stat boosting move will increase a stat, but the real number doesnt show in the Pokemons summary screen. Switching out the Pokemon will erase the stat boost, and will go back to the numbers the summary screen shows. So... HOW do they work?? Its quite straightforward: To make things simpler, consider the below chart in mind (sorry, facebook doesnt let me make fancy tables here :( ) : Boosts and drops stages for Atk, Def, SpA, SpD, and Spe: +6 = x4.00 +5 = x3.50 +4 = x3.00 +3 = x2.50 +2 = x2.00 +1 = x1.50 ±0 = x1.00
