TEACH THE WORLD(Lucky Dube) ABOUT RASTAFARI......Rastafari is a movement in a Religion that includes Abrahamic and Monotheistic elements that arose during a Christian Culture in the 1930s in Jamaica.......The movement is sometimes referred to as Rastafarianism,however,this term is considered Derogatory by some people....Many Rastas say dat it is not a religion at all,,but rather it is a way of Life......Most Rastas do not claim to be part of any particular denomination,therefore there encourage one another to find inspiration and faith from within themselves....though some do strongly identify with one of the Mansions of Rastafari....(De Twelve Tribes of lsrael,,The Bobo Ashanti and Nyahbinghi Order)......The name Rastafari came from Ras Tafari,which was the title of Haile Selassie,who composed the Amharic Ras or The Ethiopian Tittle equal to that of a DUKE,and Ras Tafari was Haile Selassie pre-Legal name(Tafari)......Rastafarins assert that Haile Selassie is another incarnation of The Christian God,JAH(Psalm68:4)......Rastas consider Haile Selassie as The next coming of Christ(lsaiah9:6)..(Psalm68:31)..(Rev5:5)..(Rev19:10-12)......The Rastafarian movement employs themes that include the Spiritual use of CANNABIS and the rejection of Western society...it proclaim that Africa is the Original birthplace of Mankind and therefore embraces numerous African Political and Social Aspirations including the Socio-Political Teachings and views of the Jamaican Black Nationalist Organizer and Publicist,MARCUS GARVEY who was regarded as A Prophet and Second John The Baptist(Revelation10:10-11)(John5:35:36) due to His large interest in Reggea music and REPATRIATION.....Awerenes of the Movement of the Rastafari has spread throughout a Large part of the World,,much of this can be linked to the now deceased Jamaican Singer/Songwriter Bob Marley,Peter Tosh and Lucky Dube etc......There were around 1,000,000 people in 1997 who were faithful to Rastafari Worldwide.....About 5% to 10% of Jamaicans consider themselves to be Rastafari.........The movement believs in immortality and that only the Chosen few will continue to Live forever in their current bodies...This is commonly referred to as Ever Living,,the term everliving replaces the term everlasting,to prevent the negetive connotation of Last which might imply an End.....Rastas believ they will Live forever with Amharic as the Official Language of JAH as the King......(Pls teach them well)..one lov....
