TEAM CALLAWAY, PLEASE READ! We are doing all we can to spread the word through posts, flyers and social media, but we need your help!!! Trips to attend this special day have already been planned by friends and supporters out of state, but I spoke to two friends today, one who works at a convenience store one mile from our home and another who is a friend of practically everyone, and neither of them knew about what will take place on Saturday, August 16th at Anita White Carson Middle School. Please share with your church, workplace, family, friends and co-workers, that something spectacular is happening in our one of a kind small town, Greensboro, Georgia, in 7 days!!!! The National Kidney Foundation, Georgia Transplant Foundation, Emory, St. Marys, LifeLink and DonateLife will be in attendance, as will 11Alive and Fox5 News! This day has been planned for entire families to enjoy and remember and will include bounce houses, food, FREE health screenings, health professionals at your fingertips at no cost to you, eager to answer questions and offer assistance, a mechanical bull, dunk booth and cake walk. If that isnt enough to make you and everyone you know plan to be there, we will also have a live auction throughout the entire day! Our small town community, and its members, have reached out and wanted to help our family in ways I never expected and will be forever grateful for. Items to be auctioned are growing by the day, and we hope to have a list of most, if not all of them, available by Wednesday. I will say, our community has stepped up in a big, big way, and we could never thank you enough. Many people battling Chronic Kidney Disease dont realize that organ transplant IS an option because money is tight, and they arent aware of the resources designated for their exact need. THOSE RESOURCES WILL BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY! Need-to-Know information about diabetes and hypertension will also be available. I have learned in the most amazing, beautiful and special way that you never know who needs to hear your words or read what you feel compelled to share. Our decision to share our story may actually save Raleighs life.
