TEAM QFL: FULL! Weve two huge teams soon ready to start the journey to Tough Mudder Skipton and Cheshire. Thank you for all your interest. Apologies if you missed out. Back in November we explained numbers will have to be capped and priority would be given to those between then and now who continue to attend Bootcamp on a consistent basis...everyone on the list has done that so credit to you all. Details of the training runs will soon be announced. Weve nearly 40 people signed up across the two events and numbers cant be any higher for logistical reasons around the training. Also at the event, if numbers are any higher there will be a lot of waiting around throughout the race...not enjoyable for anyone. If youve signed up youre very close to the point of no return. There is a stand-by list so if youre not sure you need to make 100% sure either way. Training will be tough with more strength drills thrown in as well as regularly clocking up distances of 8 miles+. The training will get you through!! Just as long as you dedicate time to Bootcamp and the runs. On the day: It is tough. Very tough! It is 13 gruelling muddy miles with some pretty horrendous obstacles thrown in. We will be encountering: Heights, fire, electric shocks, being submerged in water, extremely tight spaces, dark tunnels, tear gas, very high walls to climb up and more which theyre not announcing!! Were not there to miss any obstacles out. If youre still up for it then awesome! Just want to fully explain the costs involved too as a few have been asking: £90 Entry fee (approx) £10 QFL Training Membership £30-£35 Team kit (approx. Optional...but everyone has one) Frequent/regular attendance at Bootcamps We are not trying to put anybody off. Last year a few who originally signed up backed out once they realised the full extent of the event. We just need to manage your expectations as its a pretty expensive outlay for us all. Plus, as there are people eager to join us on the stand-by list we need to make sure everyone is absolutely raring for this and in no doubt. Having read all that, if youre more excited for this than ever then welcome to the team. This year, to quote the great Connor McGregor, were not there to take part, were there to TAKE OVER!
