TEEN CYCLIST LEFT WITH BROKEN LEGS: UPDATE Barrie police are analyzing video of a hit-and-run that left a 16-year-old cyclist with broken legs Tuesday night. Police say the male teen was struck while riding his bicycle at about 11:45 p.m. on Grove Street, near Bothwell Crescent. The vehicle and its driver fled the scene after the crash, police said. Witnesses described a dark sedan that will have front-end damage. The teen was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre suffering from broken legs, along with minor scrapes and bruises. Police say the teen has undergone surgery. The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Const. Mark Casey of the Barrie police transit unit, at 705-725-7025, extension 2912, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Police are asking the driver of the vehicle to contact them.
