TEMPTATION - A measuring tool for determining your weight in God is often revealed by the things which tempt you. Many Christians are drawn away from God by trivial things which have served the purposes of satan in aborting their destiny or limiting their impact. Temptation also reveals you worth or value. Consider our LORD and the temptations He endured. The LORD was tempted by satan on three levels. The first temptation appealed to His appetite. Many Christians are seduced by desires forbidden by God and succumb to satans ploy to destroy them. The second temptation appealed to His identity. Satan said if you are the Son of God cast thyself down. He furthers drives home His temptation by misquoting scripture. The LORD responds with the word accurately. Christians globally are challenged in their identity. Satan knows humanity struggles with identity issues and he seeks to take advantage of many because of it. Christians who dont know who they are in Christ will often fall prey to satan. Lastly The LORD was tempted with the world. Satan offered the LORD all the kingdoms of the world if Hed only bow and worship him. The LORD replies with the word and declares, thous shall worship they thy God and Him only shall thou serve. See Matthew 4:1-10 Christ carried so much value satan ultimately tempted Him with the world. Dont give into temptation for things youre destined to receive from God by faith.
