TEN REASONS TO DUNK CHRIS BARTLETT AT THE PHILLY AIDS THRIFT BLOCK PARTY TOMORROW (SATURDAY) from 1:30-2:00 PM. Its time to DUNK Chris Bartlett (otherwise known as ME) at the Philly AIDS Thrift Nine Year Anniversary Block Party. I will be in the dunking booth Saturday from 1:30-2:00 PM and I know that YOU want to be the first in line to raise money for a good cause with the chance of humiliating me at the same time. Here are some great reasons to dunk me: 1. You live in San Francisco or Berkeley and are extremely envious that I live in Philadelphia, such an affordable city, without fear of earthquakes and with a climate that is rapidly approximating the Bay Areas. 2. You have heard me sing Ethel Merman and have never fully recovered. 3. Youre a taxi driver or driver of another automobile and hate it when I go zipping by you on my Sears bicycle on the bicycle lanes of our fair city. 4. One time you tried to get into the William Way LGBT Community Center just as we were closing and I wouldnt let you in the door. 5. You are one of my co-workers. You really want to dunk Elicia Gonzales, Nurit Shein, or Reggie Shuford, but I will do as a replacement. 7. You are an ACT UP Philadelphia alumnus/a/um and want to get revenge on me for selling out to the non-profit industrial complex. 8. You will tear your hair out if you see me on the TEDxPhiladelphia stage ever again. 9. You have already departed Facebook for Ello and are understandably bitter that I continue to post here despite having at least two names, Lady Bartlett. 10. You challenged me to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and I never responded and thus I must be forced to endure public spectacle and embarrassment that involves immersion in water of one form or another.
