The school will be open on that day; the playground gates will be open from 8.40am as there will be NO BREAKFAST CLUB. The following classes will not be operating on that day: 3-6K and 5DP. All other classes will operate as normal. The children in these two classes only, are not required to attend on that day as their classes are not able to operate due to strike action. Pupils will be marked as NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND; this will not affect their attendance levels. Any other absences from other classes on that day will be coded as Unauthorised unless supported with a Dr’s certificate or specific reason. The school will operate ‘short sessions’ on that day to avoid problems at lunch time. School will therefore close at 2.20pm on the afternoon of the 10th only. Lunchtime will take the form of a short break between the morning and afternoon session time. Pupils are requested to bring packed lunch on that day as NO LUNCH WILL BE SERVED although pupils entitled to a Free School Meal will be provided with a packed lunch. There will be no extra-curricular clubs after school on the 10th. The strike action will affect the arrangements for the Year 6 show and as a result concert dates will now be TUESDAY 8th and WEDNESDAY 9th July -7pm. There will be no afternoon performances for parents this year. The school will be cleaned on Thursday 10th, but with a shortage of staff the priority areas, such as Toilets, will be targeted.
