TENSION IN KISHAN BAGH AFTER TWO YOUTH BELONGING TO SIKH COMMUNITY ATTACKED Mild tension prevailed in the communally sensitive Kishan bagh area in old city tonight where members of a minority community allegedly attacked some youths belong to another minority community. The trouble started when two Sikh youths were allegedly beaten by some unidentified persons, sources told. Soon after members of the community assembled at Bahadura police station and demanded stern action against the culprit. They wanted to book a case of attempt to murder against the attackers allegedly belonged to a minority community. Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh also visited the area police station and represented over the issue. Roads leading to Kishan bagh were blocked as a preventive measure and large number of security men are deployed in the area, they added. Roads wear a are deserted look in the affected and adjoining areas, said media person who visited there. Police enforced section 144 in the area to bar the assembly of five or more people. Situation is totally under control now, said sources. The area was rocked by communal violence in mid May early this year killing three people in police firing.
