TERRORISM! The new Bogeyman. Just to bad that while the mythical Bogeyman has its origin in the actual Buganese Man (historically Sulawesi pirate), the former marginal terrorist is actually becoming to life because of some countries offensive foreign policies. No wonder... Take my freedom away and commit atrocities against me, my family and neighbours for decades while looting my communities resources I would also fight with all means necessary. Terrorism (as the powerful rhetoric goes) is the poor mans defence. Another interesting fact is that terrorists more often than not gets their funding from those who wage war against them... Lets call the friends of the military industrial complex. Terrorism is business as usual for conscienceless, power hungry profiteers. TO CONSIDER: The exact definition of terrorism is not agreed on in the International community. Its often used as a carte blanche in rhetoric against a opponent. terrorist state and so on. The most aggressive nations (read: USA) almost always incorporate unlawful, illegal or something similar and together with laws on terrorism they make sure they are not the terrorist (since they introduce their own arbitrary laws (terrorism act with unlimited power for the state). The opponent however are not (and can not) following the aggressors law and are therefor a terrorist when defending them self.
