TESTIMONY: I wanted to share with you guys how cool God is, and how he is looking out for our family. Today my morning begun with a little bit of stress and i had one of those moments where emerys future surgery was overwhelming. In those moments i am trying to learn to not let circumstances dictate my whole days to be a wash out. I will give you a little back story so you understand how cool God worked this morning. I called the doctors office in Regina, as we need them to make the initial referral to edmonton. They have been taking their time, and this was the second phone call, of which i was greeted with a not so nice receptionist (bless her anyways plese jesus) and she was very rude, and told me that i had to wait for a referral when the doctor was ready and he had not done it yet. She basically questioned why i was rushing this referral as in her opinion i did not need a referral for his conditon until between 6-24 months! yep thats not a typo 24 months. I explained that ACTUALLY my son NEEDED surgery between 6-7 months to prevent brain damage that can occur after 12 months with this condition. She was not very helpful and told me the doctor was away today and that he would not be contacting me on friday and so i should wait till he calls me. I asked her to send him a message to which she said i was not allowed to make stipulations on when he would contact me, and i got very upset and ended up hanging up the phone to prevent myself from stepping over the line. Not one of my finest moments, and of that i need to deal with my own stuff! lol I say all that, to say i called my husband in tears, and worked through it. I went to see Monique (so thankful she is my neighbour) and i processed through with her. Once i was done, she says lets pray. Yep! thats the best idea for sure! She sat and prayed for me! Exactly what i needed to pray for my son and changed the course of my day. She prayed this I pray that even though the woman said i wouldnt get to talk to a doctor this week, that there would be a referral TODAY! Yeah right, im thinking! Im definitely not going to be hearing from a doctor this week. Alas, in comes the power of Jesus. I get a phone call, no more than 30 minutes after that call and it is a personal call from the doctor himself, telling me that he is making the referral TODAY to the Stollery Childrens Hospital in Edmonton! Jesus is so good, and is always looking out for his children. I have seen answered prayer so much in my life, and even more so in abundance in this journey with Emery! Testimony to Gods unending grace and provision! I want to publicly honour and love on my friend Monique Willms for jumping to prayer. for always being the neighbour over the fence, for listening to my venting, and helping me channel my emotions into Jesus and allowing for my circumstance to not dictate my day! I am so blessed by friendships that help sustain you through the storms. Thank you for letting Jesus use you today... it may appear small but it is BIG to us!
