TFD RESPONDS TO BRUSH FIRE ON FAR EAST SIDE NO HOMES THREATENED A brush fire in the area of Valencia and the Pantano Wash burned a trailer and several trees though no homes were threatened by the fire. Multiple calls were made to 9-1-1 by people driving on Houghton Road and also home owners east of the Pantano Wash reporting the blaze. The first TFD unit arrived on scene and found a trailer fully involved with multiple trees and brush on fire as well. They immediately called for additional resources due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area. The initial engine had a majority of the flames extinguished when additional engines arrived to assist with putting out the remaining flames. Three engine companies and a water tender responded to the scene as well as a brush truck. The fire was completely contained with approximately 35 minutes of the first unit arriving on scene.
