TGIF By Kelvin Chessa MASTERING THE ART OF PLANNING. To plan is to lay out or down, design, arrange, devise, outline, delineate, or even develop something. On the other hand, a plan is a layout, scheme, blueprint, formula or even a pattern. We must realize that failing to plan is planning to fail. Most of the time, things dont just happen to us; we make them happen by what we do and the way we are. For us to achieve excellence, professionalism, success and great results, we must plan. 1. Set goals: A dream is a dream but a goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline. Plan what you would want to achieve at the end of each day. Every minute you spend in planning, saves 10 minutes in execution; this gives you a hundred percent return on energy. 2. Design a life plan: what you would like to have achieved at a certain point in your career path. It doesnt matter how young you are, the earlier the better. Lay down a blueprint of where you would like your life to head. This will set your life in a path of progress, achievement and development in your life holistically. Winston Churchill said, Having a plan, and with continued effort-not strength or intelligence-is the key to unlocking the potential within. Therefore, master this art of planning and plan. In doing so you will always be ahead and success is the only thing that will crown you. Have a planned day. From Kelvin Chessa
