TGIF!!!...Happy Friday!!...Wahoo!! We made it!!.. Already August, can you believe that?...we are on the way out with the year 2014. There is not a lot for today, so here is the highlights from the past: 1774 Priestly Discovers oxygen 1789 US Customs begins enforcing the Tariff Act 1793 France becomes the 1st country to use the metric system 1794 Whiskey Rebellion begins 1831 London Bridge opens 1863 The Battle of Little Rock AR begins 1873 San Francisco begins the first cable car 1876 Colorado becomes the 38th State 1903 The first coast to coast automobile trip is made, it went from San Francisco to New York 1946 President Truman establishes Atomic Energy Commission 1953 California starts sales tax, for education 1960 Chubby Checker releases Twist 1981 MTV Premieres 2013 Russia grants Edward Snowden one year of temporary asylum....times up...so, what now for him? Today is also International Beer Day and National Raspberry Cream Pie Day Yummy!!!... But all in all I think this should be national Ate One Holiday!! get it??... (8/1)....the day that you try one of everything you see, and you can say I Ate One!.. LOL!!!...now where are all those deserts?..Im ready to get started!!! LOL!!! Happy Friday My Friends!!
