THALAIVAA READY TO RELEASE The Release: There were various rumours on Thalaivaa‘s release date. The film was expected on Vijay’s birthday (June 22nd), but unfortunately only the audio launch took place a day before his birthday (June 21st). We have the official release date of Thalaivaa! Yes, Thalaivaa will be hitting the screens across the globe on August 8 which is 90% confirmed and only few chances for August 9th. It will cash in on the EID and Independence Day weekend. Thalaivaa is directed by A. L. Vijay and the film is being produced by Chandra Prakash Jain, producer of Jai Hind. Amala Paul will be seen opposite Vijay for the first time whilst Rajiv Pillai, Santhanam, Sathyaraj and others are in supportive roles. The soundtrack and background score are composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, in which Vijay and comedian Santhanam have crooned a number called “Vaanganna Vanakkanganna” and it became instant chartbuster.
