THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY! Divine Change As a caterpillar is transformed into a butterfly, we are transformed from sinners to saints. Change is a process of transformation, meaning to alter, modify, adjust, or revolutionize. In the cocoon of the Holy Spirit we change our minds, our motives, attitudes, habits, actions, character and destiny. Those who are destined for greatness are bound to change. For example, Esther changed from an orphan girl to a queen. David changed from a shepherd boy to a king. Moses changed from a fugitive to the faithful leader of the Israelites. Each of these people experienced divine change and strategic positioning not based on their worthiness, but on His. One of the most important lessons any child of God can learn is that God always leaves you better off than when He found you. With God, our sinful nature is changed to a divine nature. We transform from hopelessness to hopefulness, from helplessness to helpfulness, from misery to ministry, and from a mess to a messenger. In the future some of us will change our address, change our marital status, change our career or educational goals. Others will change their circle of friends, their lifestyle, physical condition or financial status. Even changing from an individual to a parent transforms ones life, priorities, and perspectives. God never changes, but He changes us so that we can make changes in the earth. Lets embrace change and ask God to change areas of our lives as He sees fit. King David realized his need for divine change and prayed, Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 51:10). Think about the changes you want God to make in your life and make them a matter of prayer. And someday the best change of all will take place: The trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed (I Cor. 15:52, NIV). _______________ By Tamara Brown.
