THANK YOU GOD Every morning, after my breakfast with the Corrigan - TopicsExpress

THANK YOU GOD Every morning, after my breakfast with the Corrigan girls, we all go out into the backyard. I go with great expectations, looking for another beautiful gift from God in my garden. These were the ones I got this morning; the 8-inch wide Rose Mallow, of the Hibiscus family, I forget the name of the other one, beautiful hydrangeas and two beautiful roses I clipped. I left the rest on the bushes. I am blessed with all these gifts I get from Him daily. I also have to thank him for all of you guys, my dearest friends. Some of you go all the way back with me to my first day in Kindergarten, our first geometry classes, falling in love for the first time, our weddings, our children, to our present, our grandchildren, retirement years, a 60-year span. Politics separated most of all, all over the world, from below the Ecuador down in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, to Central America in Costa Rica, Mexico, all the way north to all over the USA, Canada, even Alaska. Europe, pretty much all over. I visited a dear lady in Barcelona last year, and we picked our conversation as if it had just been yesterday we last saw each other. Friends all the way in Angola, France, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, still in Cuba and so on. How have we managed to keep our friendship so strong and pure through all these years and distances? The answer is simple, with love, respect and lack of selfishness. We have been there for each other’s happiness, bad times, successes, failures, without critical words, just lending ourselves totally not demanding anything in return. Yes, I am sure you have had your share of “new friends” after we got physically separated, some were good, and still remain, and we love them too, but unfortunately, our track record from childhood is hard to surpass. The “new disappointing friends” were not even worth an ugly description, they eliminated themselves when realization came to them, they were on a different path in life than ours. We believe in honest, sincere love, without any possibilities of betraying words or actions. Thank you God again for all the gifts of flowers, friendship and life you have blessed me with throughout the years.
