THANK YOU!!! Last night was AH-MAZE-ING! Honestly one of my top three live gigs EVER. The crowd came to party and it so made me step up my game. Im still buzzing from the energy that swept upwards from audience and enveloped the stage. Its really true that the crowd can make the show and last night at The House Of 80s you made it so special. The serving staff from the attached restaurant were coming up to me backstage and saying how jealous they were that they werent working the concert area of the House of Blues instead so they could join the party - and thats from the staff whove seen every show there! And huge kudos to The Reflexx for their two rocking sets, Steven Wayne for keeping the upstairs balcony dancing non-stop all night and Larry Morgia for putting it all together; Larry - you rock my friend. This morning - despite the late night/early morning - I got up early, remembered white rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits and continued with my annual New Years Day tradition, a four-mile hike up to Mission Point above Granada Hills. I took my big dog, Chloe, along with my wifes cousins dogs, Sissy and Sassy. They loved it and it was a blast watching the sun come up over the valley and welcome in another year. Im in the studio right now at SiriusXM 1st Wave reading some of the New Years resolutions you posted on my pages so listen up for a shoutout. Tonight itll be kick back time with the wifey as we pull on our comfies and catch up with some TV. I suppose the gist of this long post is to reflect on the fact that as we move into a new calendar year that I carry with me yet another wonderful memory of an experience that you helped make special for me. And there have been so many that I treasure. For that little kid who grew up in a seaside town in the south of England to come to California, to be accepted and to live in a great country like America, it really is a dream come true. And if that wasnt enough, to throw into the mix the fact that Ive been allowed to work over the years with talents as diverse as Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran is almost overwhelming. That school boy in his uniform and cap who was neglecting his studies and instead staring out of the classroom window through the driving English rain and dreaming of far-off places and sunnier climes would have been thrilled to have known what reality awaited. And to be a part of KROQ and now SiriusXM Radio, both revolutionary radio pioneers, would have been unimaginable. So thank you for helping make that little guys dreams come true and heres to more great experiences that we can share and to a safe, fun and happy 2015 for all of us.
