THANK YOU Thanks to your hard work, dedication, and donations, we were able to combat some of the spin and blatant misinformation spread by the Billionaire gun control campaign and their fan club in the press. Every citizen in the state owes you a debt of gratitude. Preliminary numbers show us down, but still winning the vast majority of counties in Washington with a few that could still go either way. If it were not for the Seattle-King County vote, we would have won. COLLATERAL DAMAGE TO GUN CONTROL SUPPORTERS Several incumbent state legislators that support draconian gun control laws are losing in key swing district races. All of the candidates winning in these key districts were endorsed by our coalition member, Gun Owners Action League. Thanks to the hard work of our I-591 supporters and our coalition, these candidates had an edge in toss up districts. Gun owners in these districts were put on notice as to how these candidates stood, and they responded by rejecting the candidates that do not support our rights. I-591 vs I-594 - ROUND 2 - THE FIGHT GOES ON Although we were not successful, the fight will go on. A preliminary analysis is being done on possible legal challenges to the opposing measure, I-594, the Billionaire backed 18 plus page gun control initiative marketed as background checks on gun sales. In addition, with the increased number of pro-gun legislators that we helped elect, we are planning an aggressive lobbying campaign in Olympia to eliminate as many of the egregious provisions of I-594 as possible. We hope to announce shortly, the hiring of a highly skilled lobbyist to assist in these efforts. We will keep you posted on this development.
