THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES! Whilst we are excited about entering a new era (today) with our brand-new company – Apple Central Taxis Exeter – it is also sad to be saying goodbye to little-old Gemini Taxis. The last 10 years or so have been a blur to many of us as we set about building our business to be one of the most successful firms within the city – the first taxi company in Exeter to reach 100 taxis – a fantastic achievement for everyone involved within the business. However, this is not to blow our own trumpet but to say a huge thanks to the staff, drivers, customers and previous owner (Nick Eggleton). The company has been built up as a family concern and with family values – we hate each other (just a joke) - with many people with family connections working within the company as drivers, office staff, management and even the cleaner! There have been too many people to thank individually but we would just like to show our appreciation to the account customers who have supported us and stayed loyal to our business – the University of Exeter, Met Office, Flybe, Exeter College, Exeter Family Friendly, INTO, Howmet, Express & Echo, Holiday Inn, Thistle Hotel, Jurys Inn, Royal Clarence, White Hart, Michelmores, etc, etc. Your support and understanding has been superb. Apologies to anyone not listed here. With regards to the general public, we could not have done this without you and we hope your loyalty will transfer across to the new company as well. We have valued each and every one of you over the years – from first-year students, people going on their holidays, business people going to work, to elderly customers who just go down the road to do their shopping – thank-you for your support. As for staff, once again, too many to mention them all but will list one or two who are no longer with the company – Bert, Shaun, Jane, Lesley and Jonny – but mainly those who are still with us and have been absolutely brilliant through this period of change – Jo, Colin, Kelly B, Tara, Susie, Alan, Chris, Adrian, Amy B, Amy L, Jane, Nigel, Paige, Mary, Kelly F, Debbie, Charlotte, Jordan and Dan; plus Max our fleet manager; Andy, Nigel and Jane in marketing; etc. We could not have done this without you. Our day and night drivers – once again too many to mention – have also been truly loyal to our business. There have been times when we have not always seen eye-to-eye but we hope that you feel the same way towards Gemini as we do towards you – true friends and colleagues. Huge thanks to you all.
