THANKS, NICOLE AND HUGH I feel overwhelmed, heartened, humbled, grateful. Ive just seen that Nicole Kidman has signed our petition too, and we need the high profile support of people like Nicole and Hugh Jackman to help convince those who will make the decisions about how the theatre is renovated and whether we can afford to go back make a decision that lets us survive and thrive. THANKS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS Then I took the time to read all the wonderful heartfelt comments from those of you who gave their reasons for supporting us: our tremendous young people who see the theatre as their home, old friends round the world, members of our audience, performers of all ages, tutors, theatre workers, friends of our young people. Thank you from my heart, everyone who took the time to say why MSTYP means a lot to you and why it needs to go back home. THANKS, COUNCIL Dont let us forget how much we owe the Ku-ring-gai Council for supporting us at the theatre for so long, especially the last twelve years when we have been the resident company there. Thank you Ku-ring-gai Council for this long-term support. And thank you for proposing to renvoate the theatre. Thats terrific!. BUT PLEASE LET US COME BACK HOME! We dont mind sharing the theatre afterwards. But we are a not-for-profit organisation pouring everything back into more theatre. We need space to go about our business of teaching classes, making the magic of theatre onstage and then sharing it with the community at rates we can afford! Please let us come back home soon.
