THANKS to Satokas patience (and to my $), we did it! Yesterday she ordered - through a quite complicated website - the postcards of my OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION. Ten different postcards from my photos of Okinawas cats. 500 pieces each, which makes... 5.000! They should arrive at the beginning of the next week and I hope the quality will be good (ordering prints on-line is risky...). I also hope to find some space at home where to keep them... We will sell them at a decent price (100 yen each). All the $ made - expenses excluded - will go for charity to Nahas shelters, starting with Myu-sans. And to veterinarian emergencies. Heres a preview of the postcards: OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 1 Kittyno-san, a cute tiger-baby that we rescued while was crossing a street in Yorimiya, Naha. Adopted by a family through Cherubims group, now has a happy cat life. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 2 Kittyno-san, a cute tiger-baby that we rescued while was crossing a street in Yorimiya, Naha. Adopted by a family through Cherubims group, now has a happy cat life. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 3 Usually cats don’t love water so much, but this beach-boy (girl?) in Miyagi, Chatan, seemed to be at home with the waves just under the nose. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 4 Some cats love danger. This kitten in Makishi, Naha, found a house inside his worst enemy. I hope he’s still alive and that taught his children to fear wheels. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 5 This red-chan has been a personal friend when I was living in Tomarin port, Naha. He used to run with little jumps, as a rabbit. When I fed him, he showed me his gratitude hunting pigeons nearby. He never caught one. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 6 This spoiled girl lives in one of the most neko-friendly streets of Naha, near Sakurazaka theater. Shop owners around there take good care of cats. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 7 This neko-chan in Yorimiya, Naha, belonged to the owner of a little bar. He had amazing eyes. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 8 “What do you want from me?”, seems to say this big boy hidden between the graves of Shikina Cemetery, in Naha. I photographed him while I was making a report on the Shimi. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 9 This is one of my favorite cats of a private neko-shelter near Yogi Park, in Yorimiya (Naha). Myu-san, the lady-angel who takes care of 20 cats and one dog gave a full floor of her house to them. OKINAWA’S NEKO COLLECTION - # 10 Tama-san, the King of the shopping arcade by the old market of Naha. He sleeps most of his time, constantly disturbed by the many cats-lovers that pass by and stop to caress him. As you can see, he loves plastic baskets.
