THAT MY ENEMIES MAY SEE Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me. (Psalm 86:17 NIV) God does things on purpose, as should we. He does good things for us, God things, that the world may see and hunger for Him to work in their lives. It is interesting that during calamities in life, people whose lives were spared will say, God protected me. Rightfully so. The world looks on in amazement. Jesus performed miracles. The blind would see, the lame would walk, the lepers were cleansed, even the dead lived again. He did it to glorify the Father, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame. As a Christian, we should show the world the good things of Christ. Our lives should be marked by a different view, a God view. Not an in your face witness but a witness of love and grace. Our lives should put the enemies to shame because they see God in us and realize they, too, need that same God. Look at your life today. As you cross the threshold of your door, you enter a world that needs to see Christ. They need to see God at work. That is my prayer as I face this day. Selah
