English About the filmmaker Suresh Menon completed his Diploma in Film Direction from Institute of Film Technology, Chennai. He directed two feature films Vepralam(1982) and Ninaika Theritha Maname ( 1986). In 1990, he turned to making documentaries and joined Films Division as Director. He is currently the Deputy Director General ( In Charge). We also take this week to thank him for being the force behind FD Zone. Relentlessly ensuring that screenings take place every Saturday in an attempt to bring meaningful cinema for those who strive for it. He is retiring from Films Division on 31st December, 2014.
