THE 40 DAY CLEANSE Day 26 Psalm 2 & Acts 4:13-33 WHY OPPRESSING POWERS FREAK OUT ABOUT JESUS It’s true. Powers that seek to control the lives and resources of others, to use and manipulate them for their own means and ends, systematically freak out whenever the name of Jesus Christ is brought into the equation. This is true whether it is a religious controller masquerading as ‘servants of God’, political controller, financial controller or any alleged point of power holding another or group of others under the power of their controlled environment, making the people subservient slaves. The reason for this is the epic tone that Jesus represents and broadcasts to all peoples everywhere regardless of age, race, gender, position, education or any other false division used to judge another human life, a life I might add, that was created to shine forth into the cosmos as a direct extension of God, made in His own image and likeness. The reason ‘Jesus’ becomes the freak word among the would be oppressor(s) is because of this very thing. There is a reason Jesus is known worldwide as the Deliverer, the Savior and Redeemer who has and continues to set humanity free from oppressions and oppressors of all sorts, while restoring the respondents to his message to their rightful and proper standing as fully accepted sons and daughters of God and God alone (as is their created destiny), thus reuniting them with the status and stature not as oppressed persons but persons now of divine heritage and inheritance with God and all of His history and with Jesus, shining as the Firstborn Son and example of what that incredible inheritance looks like and how it functions in the world. It’s hard for the mind to grasp, but this is the message and power unleashed in the words of Jesus, the Messenger and Teacher sent from God. “Everyone who receives him (Jesus)”, we are informed by the writings of the apostle John, “by naturally flowing consequence also receive the power, the right and the privilege then of walking the earth and appearing now upon the stages of history, also as the sons of God. This is what comes to all those who have come to nourish and nurse themselves on what is supplied in the actual meaning of his name.” – John 1:12. You see then why oppressors, religious, political, financial, spirit and otherwise have such reactions to the name? It is the name of human liberation in everything represented by him. Being second to God is being third to none. What do you do with that if you hope to oppress someone who has or is coming into alignment with that kind of a dignity and high level of belief about themselves? Now you understand, I hope. Receive Jesus and you receive the inheritance, coming into the brilliant freedom of the sons and daughters of God. If you are one of the oppressors…this is a warning. Your little kingdom is fading.
